Can you explain these maths terms :?

If I understand the question, for the first part you need to give an example of two numbers that when added give a negative number and when multiplied give a positive number. For the second part you are giving an example of two numbers that when added give a positive number and when multiplied give a negative number. For the first part an example would be something like -2 and -3. -2+-3=-5 and -2*-3=6. For the second part an example would be something like -2 and 3. -2+3=1 and -2*3=-6.
