Whats the diffrence between the 383 and 400 sbc?

What are the differences between the 383 and 400. I know a 383 has a 400 crank and the 400 has more cubic inches but everyone I talked to says the 383 is an awesome motor. And what are something that make a 383 have tons of power. Also I'm Not quite sure what the difference between 383 and 383 stroker or are they the same
