How can I identify a sbc 383 stroker while it's in the car?

I have someone advertising what he thinks is a stroked 350. It's still in the car, and he says I can hear it run, but I was wondering if there's anyway I can confirm that it's been converted without pulling the motor and removing the oil pan.
