im lesbian and i told one of my friends. it seemed like she was ok with it and then started to push me away. people said she was talking about me behind my back. i didnt realize that it was about me being gay. she had been treating me badly for a while and i was annoyed because everyone sees her as being so innocent and perfect. i basically just asked her if something was wrong and she said no. my friends who i trust very much told me that she said i had a crush on her and several of my other friends. that hurt a lot. i have only had a crush on 3 girls in my life. i understand that some people are homophobic and thats ok. i completely understand. i would just be willing to back off and avoid hem so they wouldnt be uncomfortable. she told someone all of the things that are going on in my life and made up a bunch of stuff. i get a lot of crap about it from people even though i did nothing wrong. i assesed the situation hinking that maybe i did do something wrong but im certain i didnt. im really hurt that people will automatically believe the crap she says. ive always tried to be a good person and do the right thing for my friends. i dont know what to do because i lost one of my best friends and in the last way i would have expected. what can i do? this is hurting me a lot.

65 mustang with odd starter solenoid problem?? Need advice!?

As long as you put the wires on the correct post that's fine. It doesn't matter which order they are in because as long as they are clean and touching one another whatever they feed is going to get power. It is possible that the new solenoid is stuck but unless the ignition switch was activated the solenoid shouldn't have been energized. When the solenoid is energized there is a spark inside and the contacts weld together making them "stuck". Normally happens after many many uses but There is always a chance of a factory defect. Also there is a chance of a wiring issue or bad ignition switch, or even that last time you started it the rod leading from the tumbler down the column to the switch is stuck on something not allowing the ignition switch to release from start position. That is if someone has upgraded the steering column because I believe the 65's had the ignition switch on the dash in which case it is connected directly to the key tumbler. Could be a bad ignition switch but a solenoid is the easiest thing to replace to see if that is the problem. Try tapping on the solenoid. If that works fine but if it happens again I would take it back and get a replacement.

Would a 700R4 be a good transmission for a 383 stroker?

Im about to put a 383 stroker into my 94 firebird and I got a buddy who has a 700R4 transmission for sale that he said would work good in it. The 700R4 is fresh rebuild, deep pan, younger high perforamce shift-kit, harden shell, mechanical speed-o gears,corvett e servo. I know it would work for the stroker but how good and what would be better for cheap. He wants $900 but will give it to me for $700.

Building 383 Stroker! First Engine build!?

I am retired, but I use to teach auto shop and I can guarantee your grandpa is closer to the truth on this than you are. You have never built an engine yet.. Yeah, listen to grandpa. Be patient, patient, patient. Patience is the key. making sure you do every thing in the proper sequence and don't miss anything. The problem you, and every one who wants to do it in 2 days is fatigue, really, once you start to get tired you will make mistakes. When building an engine it is best to take a break every hour and stretch and walk around. Most of your speedshops have books by different engine builders. It's a good idea you read thru a couple before you tackle this. A hiperf engine needs things like oil clearence and torques checked and rechecked and rechecked more than stock ones. It could quite nearly push 410-460. To get thae last bit, i suggest adding a turb, new exaust (gutted cat if you can do that work around, i imagine so if you want 500horse), and solid air intake. I also suggest a higher octane fuel, and without seeing your current engine, I bet you could get hit that 500 mark on every dyno, and not just a good day. Put it at sea level and youll be running 11-12 in the right body.

Is a c6 transmission good for a fox body mustang with a 351 windsor ?

the c6 is a bullet proof tranny and with the right hard parts can go beyond 1000 hp. [search e-bay] the real draw back is that it takes more hp to operate it than a modern tranny such as the e4od plus its only a 3 speed. you probably will shred several manuals before the c6 goes south. any tranny off a 302 should fit the 351w. im not sure, but i don't think the c6 was ever put in a fox body so i would check with someone for fitment problems. another thing i cant remember, but i think the shifter arm in [coming out of] the c6 is different for a floor shift and a column shift. you should check on that because the tranny you are going to get is probably a column shift. on a restro-mod an auto is just so much easier to deal with. anyway, good luck.

It means that the stroker engine has a radical cam. The more radical the camshaft, the more erratic your engine idle will be. The net effect can be that it idles so roughly that it sounds like it might stall at any moment as if the engine was barely running. A lot of car people think it sounds beautiful like that. Gives it an extremely mean sound. A radical sound. Personally I like it like that.

What will cause oil to age prematurely?

I have a major inconsistent oil leak somewhere. I just did an oil change 3 weeks ago and am having to add a Qt per week. But the oil already looks like old oil. Is this a sign of a major problem? I haven't taken a good look at the leak either. its inconsistent. Nothing will come out for days at a time and then in a few hours half a qt or more will bleed out somewhere around the oil pan... and then there are times its a steady trickle from the same area. i know my temp isn't getting too high, although i don't have a guage, i know if the temp is okay just by how it smells. I keep putting new in there so it should look new but it looks old everytime i see it on the pavement or on the dipstick. ...its a 383 stroker thats got... maybe 30k miles since rebuilt.

Ok, so in an outdoor pond (about 3 1/2 ft deep and 8 ft around) i got four 3 inch koi. all was great and dandy, and the net day i got three goldfish. One goldfish was eaten or something, because it wasn't in the pond the next day. (The night before was a huge storm if that helps) a few days later the biggest out of the koi died, we don't no why for sure, we took it to pet-co (for a refund) and they said it was probably the water temp or something like that. (very detailed answer, huh?) the next day we got 3 more awesome pretty goldfish, and while i was feeding all the fish, i noticed one of the koi was missing. I saw it about 3 hours earlier, so i don't no where it went. The second big koi i was feeding went under a little overhang in the water. I went over to my father to tell him bout about the missing koi. When i returned (less than a minute l8r) the big koi was nowhere to be found! at feeding time they all rush over and i can make sure they all appear healthy (no fin rotting and loss in brightness, etc.), and he was just gone! Please help! there are a ton of crack and caves, and about 1/3 of the pond has lots of floating plants. is their any possible way any of the missing ones are alive? Extra info: we aren't keeping the koi in the pod forever, so don't give me any crap about how its not big enough. The water is good and ph kh and all that, and its very clear. There is a waterfall running into it, and a huge filtration system. They didn't get sucked up in that i no for sure, cause we have netting covering the outside of the filter thingy. I just fished out some bullfrog eggs, and no blue heron or raccoons seen YET. oh, and i have no cats. pLEASE HELP! I DO NT WANNA LOOSE ANY MORE FISH! Why might someone choose a stroker kit with longer connecting rods instead of longer crank journal?

Using a stroker is a way to increase horsepower when standard boring reaches its limits. For example, the 413 I am building for my '62 Dart has a bore of 4.120, and uses a 3.75" crank swing, and a 6.175 rod. It is impossible take it more than .060 over, and in reality going .040 over is about the limit. So, to be safe I am only going .030 over on it. So, instead of boring it to 060 over and risk a cylinder blowing out, I could use a 440 crank with a 4.00" stroke, and the 6.175 rod, raise the compression from about 9.2:1 stock to probably in excess of 12.5:1. and get the same power as if I bored it to 060. And, usually a stroker relates to using a longer swing crank, not necessarly a longer rod, this would be more for a stock size crank, but lengthing the rod to compensate. This is how they get the huge numbers on the really big engines, I'm talking in excess of 500 cubic inches.. For example a 572 Hemi, is basicaly a 426 bored .060 over, using a 4.5" crank and a 7" rod..

its just a low compression two barrel motor that ford put in many vehicles. the fmx tranny is considered one of the worst ford ever made. if you are going to build a stroker all you need is the block anyway and most of the 351's are pretty much the same. the c6 tranny is the best but only a 3 speed. its big and might cause fitment problems on a fox body. i would go to a mustang forum and ask my question as "they" have done this mod many times.

Oh man, you sound soooo much like me. I feel like you're me in a males body. I got my first panic attack beginning of last year and it was so bad I called the ambulance. That panic attack has been tattooed on my brain ever since, and I get them everyday now. Today was the only day so far that I havent gotten a bad panic attack. The only thing that helps me not get them, is telling myself they can't hurt me. What makes me get a panic attack is thinking about the panic attack itself and convincing myself that it's gonna kill me. Just remember that a panic attack CANNOT kill you. I've asked multiple doctors and nurses, they all told me they can't kill you. That feeling of you're about to die is normal, cause in reality you ARE about to die. I don't mean from the panic attack, but your body is giving you a signal that you're in a dangerous situation (which you're really not) and that you're about to die and that you need to get out of that situation as fast as possible. A 327 is a really good motor to put in it, but, good luck finding one. Go with a 350 or 400. or if you really wanted to get radical, they offer a 454 small block, big block cubic inches and torque with small block size. But, for what you would spend on that, the LS1 with the kit would probably be the best bet. With the 327,350,400 swap you could use a lot of your same pulleys, mounts, and accessories.

Tulle hemming help needed without cutting dress?

Daughter is very short and running for town Queen. I borrowed a very pretty tulle dress. Under it has a satin lining, then about 3 thicker tulle which I was able to raise up at the waist without taking it apart. Then it has another satin overcoat on which on top of that has 3 uneven layers of white and pink tulle that I need to hem without cutting it. Any suggestions? All this in a 78 nova with TH350 and 2.34 rear gears. the engine is from a 1970 A body and had stock 300hp and 380 ft/lbs torque. An accurate estimate on horsepower after these mods will get 10 points.

Okay so I am pretty darn mad right now !! Ok so at about 5 or 6 today, I went shopping at publix to get some quick groceries when I was in the frozen foods section and I had a perfect view of the lane right in front. There was the adorable six year old girl, who I later found out was named Caroline and her mother who seemed pretty full of herself checking out. Well, Caroline asked her mom if she could get a fish. So her mom said no and walked away. So I left for like two minutes to get a cart and set some juice and came back to check on the child, and she was still there. So now it's been about 5 min since the whole incident happened. Well I went up to the child and introduced myself and showed her my daughter's pictures and tried to make her fell safe. So i took her and talked with her and we stood by the door. And waited a FULL ten. Minutes before her mother came back with a latte and a yogurt !! Then she came Up to me, GARED at me and snatched the choked away from my hand ! This bike is perfect for me except for one thing: If I go down a steep hill the brakes hardly work at all. Riding on the same hill, other people on my bike stop on a dime. We got some steep and long hills around here and I'm heavy.. 160mm/6" rotors aren't even close to stopping me in time.How do I upgrade from 160mm to 203mm rotors? Where can I purchase the rotors? You will have WAY too many issues with electronics if you modify this engine. The aluminum block will have to be sleeved for aftermarket pistons (custom made) Rods will be custom. Crank IS forged steel- but to stroke it will require welding and regrinding it- then the injection system with direct injection will not be able to supply the fuel you will need- you will most likely have to go back to a custom port injection system with a stand alone management system. Further issues will arise trying to mate the aftermarker management to the factory cluster, traction control, trans and brake system. Honestly- I gotta say- sell it and buy an easier car to mod. Any BMW pre 1996 can have a big block and lenco shoved into it quite easily. If you end up keeping the 760- remove the intakes and clean the valves- they carbon up pretty bad due to crankcase ventilation. Put an aftermarket catch can on the vent system, clean the valves and heads, port match and just drive it.

Spark plug gap on 347 stroker with gt40x heads?

Hi, i recently bought a 1988 mustang gt with a fuel injected 347. It has gt 40x heads with the gt40 upper and lower intake, full exhaust, 70mm tb, cai,76mm maf, no air, electric fan, no smog pump, has cam and rough idle(dont know cam size),24# injectors, aluminum drive shaft, 3.55 rear, beefed up t-5, etc. It has msd ignition with multispark but the distributor is motorcraft for some reason. It currently has autolite 3923s in it with a gap of .045 and the timing is 10 tdc with 22 total. This combo has me wondering what gap i should be at for optimum power without spark plug blow out. I was told to change the plugs to the motorcraft AGSF-32M or autolite 104s cause the heat range was too cold. Need help and dont know much more about the motor and cant reach the guy who built it originally. i know the heads are not the greatest and would prefer some trickflow or afr 185s but would like to work with what i got for now.

Hi, I am looking for serious answers ONLY PLEASE. I recently lost my mother and as trustee I had to deal with all the legal issues. I now know the importance of preplanning. Does a married couple need seperate wills? What about a trust? I have one daughter age 28 who will be named as trustee and of course will have to deal with all the legal issues. assuming this is a drag application, something you can do is with the heads removed tap the oil passage hole(in the head )that connects the block to the heads and install a set screw with a small 1/8 inch hole to keep more pressure in the block use a larger capacity oil pan since the high volume pump will be pumping more oil if you are building from scratch you can also enlarge the oil passages leading to the main bearing if you have more interest check with your local machine shop

I can't tell you how to be happy, only you yourself can answer that. The reason being that everybody is different so therefore everybody has different things that make them happy, different goals in life etc. As for finding "the one" I don't think it is right to base all of your happiness on one person, because if you do so that person could make or break you. For example if you put all of your happiness into one person and that person left you you would be destroyed. I think one of the keys to being happy is to realize that happiness is something that comes from within, its not something somebody else can give you. I'm not saying don't look for the one, just learn to be happy by yourself first. To really be happy you have to do some self examination, when you really do know yourself then you will know what you have to do to be happy.

I'm the bassist in a band. I feel unappreciated by the guitarist and particularly the drummer. I'll start with the guitarist. He, at least, understands the importance of my role in the band. But he obviously thinks his instrument is far superior to mine. I remember once we were talking about how Jimmy Page first played bass in his band but then got put on guitar. He described it as Jimmy Page getting a huge promotion. Another time we were talking about how Paul McCartney first played trumpet and then guitar and then bass. The guitarist said that he got a promotion and then a demotion. I'm not saying he's not entitled to think his instrument is better - I think bass is better than any other instrument - but I wish he wouldn't constantly talk about like it's a fact. Now for the drummer. He obviously see's no point in me being in the band, which is really bad because we need to work together being the rhythm section, but I don't see how we can when he doesn't see the point in bass. He's said before that he hates bass and that he doesn't think it's neccessary. I don't know what to say to him. I just feel really underappreciated. ANy suggestions to what I should do? And I don't want people saying 'leave the band' unless they think that's the only thing to do, because the guitarist and drummer are really nice guys and my best friends.

it all depends on where the peak torque and peak horsepower readings are on the powerband. usually, severely altering your gear ratios can make a huge impact on your ETs, so you need to be careful on the setup that's right for you. torque is useful off the line and in 2nd gear, but you need that power as you move into 3rd and 4th. but all cars are different, you still need to factor in your curb weight.

i think your GP should rerefer u to see a psychologist just in case you have other things going on, you need to be on the right medication. also people get strange harming thoughts all the time but often ingnore them, sounds like your in a bit of an anxiety cycle/ your also being a little paranoid. it could be just because you are stress out, upset/confused with life BUT i think its worth going over things again with your GP , as you are not happy with the antidepressants. he/she must be doing more to help you , if not you can always change your doctor.

I have a 1972 Chevelle with a 383 in it, with many upgrades, It's got 323 gears 10 bolt rear posi, vic JR highrise with a eldebrock 4 barrel 750 carb with a manual choke and a 1 inch lift plate under it, aluminum pro comp heads mild cam, flowmaster 40s dumped before the rear axle, 10 inch torque converter set @ 3500 RPM I think, K&N intake filter, 350 trans with a shift kit, and the car has had a little bit of weight reduction and aluminum full length headers. Now the mustang is pretty much stock with a few minor upgrades, the exhaust is upgraded, and it has a cold air intake, otherwise it's pretty much stock I think, I know there's a few more upgrades but nothing MAJOR.

When referring to Car Engines what does "stroke it out" mean? and what is a stroker kit?

A stroked engine has had a crankshaft change to increase the "stroke" length of the pistons. A stroker kit includes usually a new crank and bearings at a minimum. There are limits in how much you can stroke an engine before you have the crank smacking the block but this can be fixed to a point by grinding away some of the block in the path of the crank. Of course with a great stroke length, the pistons come closer to the heads, requiring new pistons with deeper valve reliefs. Pistons could also be a part of the kit. Depends on the level of the kit itself.

1965 Mustang Coupe, should I get an entire new exhaust system or keep the one I have?

I have a 1965 Mustang Coupe and it currently has a 289 V-8 and I think I am going to drive that engine until it dies and the previous owner converted the dual exhaust to one tail-pipe and welded a flow master muffler. It sounds great and I like the deep powerful rumble that it makes. But when I raise enough money I want to replace the 289 with a 347 Stroker and I want to have that deep powerful rumble and have a nice clean but strong idle

Chevelle or Monte Carlo ?

I'm fixing to buy a car off of this one guy. I originally had my eyes on his automatic 1972 chevelle with a 350, but his 1982 Monte Carlo with a 383 stroker engine seems pretty tempting. The Monte Carlo (priced at 5,500) has far less things to fix, mainly interior work. While the chevelle (priced at 3,500) needs far more cosmetic work. Chevy made a 302, it came in the early Z-28's & ran against the Boss 302 Mustangs. Basically, it was a 283 block with a 327 crank ( I think I got that right ). So, you could get the 327 built with a shorter throw crank & really have a 305 in your car..... But you would also have the better bottom end of the 327 block... Just an idea .....
